Awaiting publisher clarification
Existing cards when the final phase begins
Do existing hand cards count toward the final draw, remain in addition to it, or get replaced?
Official text — paraphrased
Printed p. 22 describes drawing up to five cards; p. 23 summarizes five final cards. Neither passage explicitly explains the treatment of cards already in hand.
This wiki does not resolve that choice. The worked example begins with empty hands, so it does not establish a rule for existing cards.
Using this at the table
For a teaching example, use the stated empty-hand starting condition. For an actual game with existing cards, agree on a temporary table interpretation and record it separately from official rules.
If a Location Card was taken earlier in the red zone, does reaching the last space change its pawn requirement to one?
Official text — paraphrased
Printed p. 23 relates the pawn requirement to the event space where the card is taken. Printed p. 22 gives a one-pawn requirement at the last space, but does not expressly distinguish newly taken and earlier cards.
This wiki leaves earlier cards unresolved. Its last-space example takes the red Progress Token and Location Card for the first time there; that narrower example uses one pawn.
Using this at the table
Check when the Location Card was taken before applying an example. A table agreement about an earlier card remains a temporary interpretation, not a publisher ruling.
Movement-point cost of Conspire’s effect deployment
Does the deployment instruction in the three-point Conspire effect spend one of the card’s movement points, or is it separate from normal movement deployment?
Official text — paraphrased
The printed Conspire face on p. 13 orders a draw, a discard and deployment of one pawn. Normal Dark Arts movement on p. 20 spends one movement point to bring an off-board pawn onto an available Deployment Space. Page 21 permits an unlocked effect before or after movement, but these passages do not explicitly connect the effect’s deployment to that movement-point cost.
This wiki records the printed sequence without declaring this effect free or subtracting a movement point by assumption. Normal movement deployment still has its stated one-point cost and occupied-space restriction. The four-point Conspire face has no extra effect and is separate.
Using this at the table
Use the four-point no-effect face for lessons that require exact deployment accounting. In a real game with the three-point effect, check the actual face and agree on a temporary interpretation before using it; record that agreement separately from publisher rules.
