Effect & use
Discard one hand card to take a face-up Acquire Row card or the top face-down Acquire Deck card. Alternatively discard two hand cards to take a face-up Advanced Acquire Row card and advance Loyalty one space. Put the acquired card face-down on top of your Draw Deck.
Where to find it / how to resolve it
Choose Learn as your Main Action while at least one of your House Pawns is outside all Protected Areas. Refill emptied acquire-row spaces according to the row rule.
Restrictions & timing
- Dark Arts Players cannot take Learn.
- The two-card Advanced Row cost here differs from a Card Acquire Bonus Space, which offers its own one-card Advanced Row option.
Where guides use this entry
The House player to Dark Arts' left starts; continue clockwise. Each House turn chooses one main action: Explore, Learn or Replenish. Dark Arts chooses Explore or Replenish and has no Learn action.
Cards, Spells & Tokens →Read the card before building a planNewly acquired cards go face-down on top of the draw deck, rather than straight into your hand. House players can Learn from the ordinary Acquire Row or face-down deck by discarding one hand card, or from the Advanced Acquire Row …
Compare Your Next Action →Move now, or acquire for a later draw? The same one-card reduction buys different things: movement now or a card waiting on top of your deck.
Compare Your Next Action →Ordinary Learn or Advanced Learn?Advanced Learn spends one more current hand card and adds one Loyalty step. That does not prove its unknown candidate is better.
Compare Your Next Action →Use a Token before Learn or after it?Both orders work here. The important limit is preserving the matching hand card and finishing each action before starting the other.

Consistent terms, section search and two-side teaching
Unified 35 sourced English–Chinese terms and registered all three open rule questions. Search and guide backlinks now lead to matching sections in the current language. Added card-flow diagrams, conditional Dark Arts lessons and exact movement allowances alongside the five existing House comparisons. Unknown rules, routes, card effects and future draws remain unfilled.

Content quality work in this revision
Added a 24-category component catalogue, nine sourced card examples and a rechecked Alohomora entry; the catalogue remains an identified sample rather than a complete Acquire Deck. Added a complete setup and first-round walkthrough with a player-count checklist, cross-links across all eight guides, reference information boxes, a clarification register, page-specific history and local correction drafts. This records reviewed preview content, without announcing the custom-domain launch.

Diagrams, tabletop reference and navigation
Added original component, movement and encounter schematics, a printable quick reference, site-wide search, spelling suggestions and shareable filters. Reference entries and examples gained section navigation. Diagrams explain rules without claiming exact board coordinates.

Separated two Advanced Acquire costs
Checked the bonus-space continuation on printed p. 11. Its one-card cost and Loyalty advance are distinct from the two-card cost of Learn. The reference library cites the relevant printed pages rather than treating the two actions as identical.
